Dan is an award winning, seasoned real estate professional who has lived and worked in Kelowna since 1980. He has watched it grow to the third largest city in British Columbia and knows all the nooks and crannies of the area. He loves to spend his free time with his wife Robi and Jasmine, their black lab or on the golf course or ski hill.

"My real estate career began in 1965 in a small town in the Ottawa Valley where I remained until 1972. At that time, I felt ready to start my own real estate business and was one of the first brokers in Ontario to Buy a Century 21 franchise. Within 9 months, I had the number one office in my market area.

In 1980, I fell in love with the Okanagan Valley and chose to move to Kelowna. Except for 18 months when I managed a Re/max office in the Caribbean, I have been involved in Kelowna real estate including; owning my own real estate and insurance office, developing land for homes in local communities and building and insuring homes. In 1987, I joined Re/max where I am an independent broker operating as Re/max Dan Smallwood.

My entire adult life has been spent in some aspect of real estate and I have tried my hand at just about everything in the field but nothing compares to the thrill I still get when my clients find just the right new home or my sellers sell their home under the terms and conditions they are wanting.   • Prepare and deliver informative feature sheets to the home
